Speaker McCarthy met with Micki Witthoef, mother of Ashli Babbitt who was killed by a capitol police officer on Jan. 6, for 30 minutes and promised to watch the footage. He had not seen it when he made the comment that the police officer Micheal Byrd "did his job" when he killed Ashli Babbitt.
